If I was still in Vermont I would have enjoyed yesterday. The first Tuesday of March is Town Meeting Day. (At least for Burlington and most of the State) The University of Vermont takes off along with most of the town to go and discuss various political topics and town issues.
So yesterday while the Governor Jim Douglas was in Middlebury for Town Meeting Day, Ellen McKay raise the idea of impeachment for President Bush and Vice President Dick. John Nichols covers more of it on Yahoo News. The part that I find interesting, the idea of impeachment is spreading. I know in Vermont everyone knows everyone or is related to someone, but the fact that this news is getting national coverage is amazing!
Anyway, If you were reading reddit today you would have seen at least 5 stories about impeachment and what to do to help.
The accounts Bush and Dick could be “charged” with are:
1. Deliberately misled the nation with the idea of a threat from Iraq,
2. Violated the Geneva Convention and US law by condoned the torture of prisoners,
3. Allow and Approve the use of electronic surveillance of American citizens without a warrant.
