The print industry lacks so much intellect that it kills me, on the inside. I am a newsjunkie and yet the “print” news cost money, but the “online” news is FREE!
There have been a couple of times that the New York Post (My Favorite “paid” newspaper, okay maybe second Wall Street Journal) hands out FREE copies of their daily newspaper. Each time they print an extra cover with an ad sponsored by some company. The last time I got a free New York Post from Target (Thanks for the Wii). Their logo and ad was on the cover and I got to enjoy a FREE Newspaper!
In New York City there are many free newspapers, some even printed daily like the Metro and AM PM New York and yet people PAY FOR THEIR NEWS! I just don’t get it. How many ads do you see in a newspaper what like 100? 1000? Can’t they just print 1 more and hand them out? Can someone please explain why they continue to “charge” for the news?
As for all the other people out there who pay top dollar for your newspapers, you know you can get it free online?

I noticed that many small town paper sites don’t EVEN have archives or have taken them away, It really sickens me as I like to look at weather disaster news to see what patterns happened and the effects: It’s better then reading just a statement of an episode talking about how much the damaged costed.
I go to http://www.ibiblio.org/riverat/internet/archives.html but 2/4ths of the newspapers have taken down their archives for something realllllly crappy.
You don’t find what you want.
D–n you ignorant and stupid greedy newspapers! I hope God’s judgement comes down for the sin of greed on you papers.
