It’s amazing. I like it. Sounds good to me, even though I can’t agree with everything< that is written here

Thanks for the clarification, but you are creating a place where all of our crowdsouring news is posted, a site where you have a bloggers posting stories for you rather then on their on blogs. You are basically the online version of a coworking enviornment getting news junkies to write for you and create better content.

The problem is that people want their own spot for their voice, like a blog. I just don't see why people would go to your site to create content when they can post a blog and have peple comment/trackback/etc to it. Along with view not only their own stories, but information about them such as a resume or projects they are working on.

I would rather see work done with tagging, feeds, and orgaizing blog posts such as websites like tailrank or techmeme, but I want to see the news displayed FAST. I am talking about a new story every 10 seconds, like digg spy!

By creating this crowdsource news you are building a "mecca of news" and hoping that people come to your site, post content, and continue this process.

I appreciate the feedback and will be keeping an eye on it and its popularity.

Hmmm. I don't think you understand what Assignment Zero is. I'm the executive editor of it, and I started NewAssignment.Net. We're not trying to be "this mecca of news," or your one stop on the Net for all your news needs, or anything remotely like that. We agree that people get their news from many sources-- and should.

The purpose of our site is to figure out whether lots of people can work together on one story, and achieve higher standards for quality and comprehensiveness than a few.
