Although I can understand your frustrations, the 555 deal ended nationally over a week ago. Each store now has the option of carrying this offer for an extended period or not. Most of the franchisees, including myself, have stopped the 555 as it was a limited time offer. The Domino’s CORPORATE stores may still honor the deal, but because of the incredibly high price of cheese right now, the 555 deal doesn’t make sense for many stores to keep it. Each store has plenty of specials, just not one that offers 3 pizzas for 1/2 price. It was a limited time offer. The website promotes the national offer, but the disclaimer clearly states that it is for participating stores only after the promo period. Do you flip out on McDonald’s when their limited offer sandwiches and specials stop, no, you don’t. Please think of how many people; drivers, managers, etc who you are affecting when you decide to do something like this. The store you spoke to treated you terribly. You should get some free pizzas for being treated rudely. Although it was not me, I apologize. They should have explained the situation to you in a courteous and respectful manner. Don’t hurt the whole, just because of the one! We all work so hard to be the best we can be for our families and our customers…………

Sorry! You posted on May 21st. You absolutely should’ve got the 555 Deal. No excuses. My other point still stands, though. You had great experiences in the past ordering a few times a week! One store screwed up. Does that change the fact that you had so many positive experiences and that so many others still do? Please understand that we all know the power of the internet. And, I respect your right to use that power as you see fit! Innocent, hard working people don’t need to suffer to prove it!

Thanks for the comments, I am guessing your a Domino’s rep of some kind, but use a hotmail address? Does Domino’s not have email?

Anyway, you have NO IDEA about my feelings towards McDonald’s because I have not posted about them, yet. Also, if you are a rep, as you have posted, I should receive some FREE Domino’s pizza, extra food (cheese bread), swag, etc. BUT I HAVE NOT! The tone and additude I received from the local dominos was not only unproffesional but is a major problem with your customer support. The fact is, yes this dominos does NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT CUSTOMERS as well as THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT! I tried to submit my problem and got a Lotus Notes Error, but after the 3rd time of submitting it… it FINALLY went through. I also received a couple of “pregenerated” emails as well as a small follow up email, but never FOLLOWED UP! I need to get my point across to Domino’s and how I can still goto http://www.dominos.com/ and see the 555 deal, but have no idea that its up to the owner of that particular dominos on if they have it or no. WTF? Its a franchise, act the same, or NOT AT ALL!!! YOU ARE CONFUSING YOUR CUSTOMERS, STOP DOING THAT!

I will be posting up some follow ups as well as some CUSTOMER SUPPORT 411 stories for the REPS who READ THIS!

I ordered Dominos tonight! (Sorry, didn’t see your site until just now.) I agree, you shoulda got some free food, without a doubt. Luckily, our Dominos has the 555 deal. If they didn’t, I’d order from the pizzaria, like I did before.

Hmmm, I think either the rep or the caller was very confused. Domino’s offers a 555 deal three or more medium pizzas with one topping (which is now the $5.55 a pizza due to inflation and the raise of minimum wage). The 777 deal is three or more LARGE pizzas with one topping (at $7.00 each). Is this is a franchise store or a corporate store? All franchise stores are run anyway they want because they are independently owned and operated and do not necessarily represent the corporate interests or promotions.

I wouldn’t give up on Domino’s. You’re gonna miss their sauce!!!

Pizza Pizza? Little Caesar’s? This pizza is so cheap and tasteless–comparable to what you can make in your toaster oven.

Thanks for the commit Lori. I am excited to say that I have been Domino’s FREE since this post! I am also happy to post that I average 100 to 200 visits from the Google search 555 deal and Dominos. Dominos does not understand what “bad customer service” can do to a business.

As for the sauce, yea I have moved on and actually feel more in love with Papa John’s. Their garlic sauce is by far the best and amazing with their Pizza.

Although this has recently hit me, but while I was in NYC area, I just love local real pizza. As for out here in Arizona, theirs a couple of great places with thin crust like,

T-Core Said,

I was going to order domino’s, 555 deal, I asked for 3 mediums for 5 dollers and then when I was done ordering the lady said…”That will $37.50″ I said “BEG YOUR PARDON?!?!?!” then she said “$37.50″ So I replied “WTF?!?! are you kidding?” then she said no, so I asked what about the 555 deal?” she then told me that we don’t give that to rude customers and hung up…I called back and half way through my sentence she hung up again. I was apauled at this puke stain they call a resteraunt…and decided to give the delivery man monopoly money. I took the pizzas and locked my door.

Sincerely,
Thomas

are you really making this big of a deal about a single dominoes store that is charging two dollars extra?

na: Basically I feel that I need to do my duty as a customer and explain to Dominos that you can NOT be marketing 1 thing and selling another.

As any blogger would tell you, they like to speak their mind, this was a problem that really pissed me off, and so I blogged about it. I have received some feedback from Dominos, but nothing like an apology. I figure since I am a geek, adding some SEO would help get my WORD OUT. IT HAS, and I have received a LOT of traffic from it as well as top Google page rank for “555 deal”.

I am sure this happens a lot, but I just want to make it a point that you can FIGHT BACK and am a BIG FAN of the consumerist

Well..

Its most likely a franchise..
And like all other places they don’t have to oblige the deals.

I stoped eating Dominos quite a while ago and here is why.
1-no longer in 30 minutes (I waited 78 minutes once and got crap when I complained lunch on tuesday cant take that long)
2-They charge you $2.00 to deliver now. (I thought their high prices made up for that?)
3-I have NEVER recived what I ordered. (I get a large pie an order of buffalo wings hot and some hot sauce on the side with a 2 ltr Coke. Not that complicated right?
I will never eat Dominoes again either. I’m a simple man that dosen’t expect a lot for my money but this is just crazy

Funny, I searched the key words “any point in complaining to dominos” before I even bothered to send them a complaint (will they even bother to read it?). My original order took a little over 1 hour to arrive, obviously pissed but just smile at the delivery man and took my order…..walk back into my residence hall, open up my side order (supposed to be wings) guess what, yup wrong order. I call them back to bring me my wings, an hour and twenty minutes passed… its been 2 hours now… their excuse? “We are short on drivers right now”. Lovely… back to typing my essay.

Haven’t bothered with their 555 deal but sure as hell won’t order dominos any more at least in this area…

When Domino’s Pizza arrived in Potosi, Missouri, I loved that place! IMO’s is by far my favorite pizza in the world, but it was an hour drive back then. Domino’s replaced the drive for a while, awesome pizza! I’ve moved to Florida, and there is no IMO’s here. I thought, well, there’s Domino’s! HAHA! What a joke! Is it just me or did Domino’s prices go up and the quality of their pizza and customer service go down? I ordered 3 large pepperoni pizzas, nothing else, cost $39.40(39 something, $45 after a tip). Not only was I told it would be about 45 minutes and waited two hours for my pizza, but when it got to my house, it looked as if it fell in the floor board! The toppings weren’t on the pizza, they were on the underside of the top of the box. I called and asked them why it took 2 hours for my pizza to arrive, and then why all the toppings were stuck to the box, and NOT on my pizza. Their response was similar to the post above, “We are short on drivers tonight, did you drop them?” What the fuck!? You don’t even apologize for the pizza being over an hour and 15 minutes later than you said, and then to top that off you are going to accuse me of dropping the pizzas? I just forked out $45 for this bullshit and this is what I get? To hell with dominos is right, since that day, I too have become a Papa John’s fan. Better ingredients, better pizza! It is not a lie! FANTASTIC PIZZA! Still don’t beat IMO’s but pretty damn close. I order a medium meat lovers, squeeze the juice out of the jalepeno over the pizza, and lightly spread some of the garlic sauce over it, awesome, just AWESOME!!

So many bad stories, but I like the Dominoes next to where I live, the service is great, and they do offer the 555 deal, so I guess its not the entire chain. Good luck with your recruiting though.

the same thing happened to me today!
but the store is just a simple franchise who cannot afford to give you the pizza for such a good price. the problem is with the head of dominos and the corporate stores who have other concerns than simply making money (eg advertising the dominos brand and getting the company out there and having stores in many convinient locations.)
dominos needs to specify in the adverts where the deal is available
