So you have an iPod shuffle and its summer, what else do you need? Some beer and a beer bottle opener. Well the Mophie Bevy may not come with a beer, but it can surely open one. Yes the Mophie Bevy is a iPod Shuffle case, head phones cord wrap, keychain, and a bottle opener!
The Mophie Bevy is the first product to be released as part of the Illuminator project. The Illuminator project started at this past MacWorld 2007, I also blogged a bit about mophie and Illuminator going from idea to product. During MacWorld 2007 Jared Fiovorich, a 17 year old from Santa Cruz, CA doodled the concept which actually went from idea to product and is now for sale by mophie. The Bevy is the first of 3 products that Mophie plans to release which were all imagined at MacWorld 2007.
The Illuminator project is just getting started and I am happy to say that I will be a part of. I was recently contacted by the founder of Mophie, Ben Kaufman, who I have been recently doing some consulting for. Ben founded Mophie in 2005, at the age of 18, as a company who’s passion is creating a funky product development firm based around good people and great ideas. After hearing more about Illuminator I had to jump on board and help take Illuminator to the next step. I am very excited and will be blogging as much as I can about the project. Back to the Bevy, I have been using the Bevy with my shuffle and could not be happier. I only have 1 key to my house, which works great on the keychain, it looks great with my shuffle, and the other day I opened a beer with it. I would high suggest either pickup a Bevy for Father’s Day or Graduation Gift, and if they do not have a shuffle, pick up one, their cheap!
