That’s how long I am planning to spend on news each day, if not less. (comes to about 4 hours a week) Let me explain how and why. So after reading about scoble reading 622 RSS feeds each morning I have jumped on the bandwagon and started my own. I have about 102 feeds myself (growing daily) and have started to go through them each morning and broadcast using Google Reader and RSS.
So why do you ask that I am doing this. Simple, I am a news junkie and I want to help others see and read stories that I find interesting. I am also playing around with aideRSS to cut out the 80% of Junk News, so I can do this faster. I have a bunch of news ideas as well as enjoyed hearing about Paul Dix’s project, which should be pretty slick once its up and running.
Anyway, while using Google Reader with all these feeds, I feel like I am watching a techmeme with all these duplicate stories I get from all these feeds. I would like to just get 1 version of it, or maybe run a “diff” some how and show the main points. Obvisouly we need to cut down on our news consumption and find better ways, I hope that my feeds enlighten you on some cool news/links as well as spread the good word of some green news.
