So forgetting completely that I was attending this today, I forgot to post it in my sleepiness state last night while blogging and surfing the web.
Anyway, I attended Desert Code Camp at UAT. First off I have to say, UAT’s space and setup is AMAZING! Perfect for events like Desert Code Camp and other Geek Guru or Geek flocking parties.
I attended a some interesting talks and some very basic talks, it was a variety and mix. Considering this event was FREE as in BEER I was more then happy with how day one turned out. I got a chance to talk and meet more with the Phoenix Locals and am embracing the communities. After day one of Desert Code Camp, Google held a drink/food event. During the event Google was handing out some Goodie Bags full of some Google Info, a pen, a notepad, and a FREE DRINK TICKET! This ticket paid for my nice “El Diablo” drink AKA a HUGE Margarita. During the drink off, Google held a raffle, and I WON! Well, some more FREE SWAG, I won a Google Phoenix T-Shirt!
Anyway, If your in the Tempe area tomorrow, stop by and enjoy some great talks! And if your up for it… try and track me down and say HI! I always enjoy meeting new people and especially when their my own “readers”!

Thanks for the pointer to the Desert Code Camp … I looked at the program with not a small bit of awe. Only one session on iPhone development, though, puzzles me.
As for tracking people down at at conference like that … hmm … using iPhone and wifi or bluetooth … maybe someone has to volunteer to be a walking jabber server ?
