With each day getting closer and closer to the end of February and my focus of making $100/day in passive income, I am restructuring my game plan and work even harder on what is working and what is not. During the month of December this blog took off and saw a nice monetary growth with Google Adsense. Although with text-link-ads, I actually flattened out of my monthly income. Since August I have seen a 20 to 30% growth in my income. Each month my check got bigger and bigger, but the past two months I have seen a more downward slop. I am still not doing that $100/day that I want to be pushing. I know for myself I have been all over the place with my blog entries, but feel that most geek guru’s or technologically savvy people that read my blog want new links to web 2.0 sites to check out as well as read some interesting money investment and passive income opportunities. I know I have also used this site a bit more towards telling the world my goals and hoping that I can reach them as well as get some feed back from my readers.
So with December already in the past, I have focused on coding/releasing more sites that are user submitted driven. This will save me time in a sense, by building a system and just pushing traffic to it, rather then constantly spending an hour or 3 blogging or finding new sites to showoff.
I am also looking at trying to put out my own ebook or learning videos to help teach the basic html/seo/css to the average joe. I guess cause I surround myself with technogenius, I forget that most people can’t read HTML. I know with more and more bloggers starting a wordpress blog everyday, the challenge of customizing wordpress with various css/html changes and backend plugins hacks or whatever can be hard. So with that in mind I have thought about all the knowledge I have and how I can push it into a easy to use website/content system that can make me some passive income.
I have also been reading more and more blogs about making $100/day with their blog and seeing what others are doing to gain traffic, increase their ads, and get more passive income. For myself, the past 2 weeks have been more of a reflection state of where I am going and where I want to be. When starting on this journey I had a goal in my head, but I am starting to understand I need to break it down much like a agile developer and have an action plan rather then just a big picture.

Out of curiosity - have you considered putting ads in the RSS feed of the site? Speaking for myself - I read your posts through Google Reader which means I am not subjected to any ads. I have noticed that some blogs put a small ad in the RSS Feed which is not as obtrusive as most ads I have seen. I’ve also seen plenty of google ads in blog feeds.
